Holy Yoga embraces the essential elements of yoga: breath work, meditation and physical postures. In all these elements however, Christ is the focus of our intention and worship.
During this themed workshop: ‘The Greatest Gift of them All – Love’; we will use asana and pranayama practice as a very practical and effective tool to allow the ‘cessation of movements in the mind’ and experience the ways Christ comes to us in the present moment. We will also recite scripture through the flow of movement and breath and meditate upon the ‘Word of God’ using ‘Lectio Divina’, with a guided meditation on our theme during yoga nidra. The morning will conclude with an opportunity for some fellowship and refreshments.
Whether you are a practicing Christian, curious about Christianity or just plain curious about using scripture in yoga then this workshop is sure to enlighten: You can enjoy restored communication with God and the very real presence of the Holy Spirit dwelling with and in each of us. All welcome.

Philomena is a graduate of YTTC and Santosha Yoga Training. She has taught Hatha Yoga, Children’s and Pregnancy yoga for almost 20 years. Following a significant life experience, Philomena developed a deep interest and faith in Christianity. Feeling that the practice of yoga no longer fit with her Christian Values she took a brief time away from her mat. However, she missed yoga and needed to find a way to incorporate it back into her life. That’s when she discovered ‘Christian Yoga’ – a ‘Christ centred’ yoga practice. Philomena then trained with ‘Holy Yoga’ and now works in ‘Yoga Ministry’.
